October 1, 2009: Jimmy has been stolen away from his family for 6,524 days for a crime he didn’t commit!

In January and February 2009 a few hearings took place. Whether or not Jimmy will be granted a new trial is most likely going to be decided within this year.

The attorneys appealed in front of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and we are still waiting for the decision.

Introduction/Motivation and goals

My aim is to get attention to the case of Jimmy A. Dennis who is innocent on Pennsylvania’s death row for over 17 years now. Being punished with death despite innocence is not a rare event. Since 1973 over a 120 cases have come to light where innocent people have been convicted and given a death sentence. By now, their innocence was proven and these people can live in freedom again.

Jimmy is among those paying for a crime that somebody else did. I want to give Jimmy a voice, make his case known and support him in his fight for justice.

To be convinced of the truth, I studied Jimmy’s case thoroughly, had the chance to look into lawyer’s documents, statements of witnesses and police documents.

The evidence and facts proving Jimmy’s innocence speak for themselves. It is due to these evidence that I believe this is truly an innocent man in prison. That is why I am trying to help Jimmy and trying to make his case known around the world.

I have exchanged letters with Jimmy for about 7 years now; I have visited him as well. Through the fight for justice a friendship developed and I want to support Jimmy until he finally gets justice!

This homepage has the aim to present Jimmy’s case, demonstrate his innocence, and make his case known, as well as introduce the person Jimmy behind the case.

In addition, I would like to share how others can help Jimmy and can stand up for him. The more people who get to know of his case and his story and who support him, the better it is. The world shouldn’t look the other way while an innocent man suffers in a place he doesn’t belong!
